The player also has the option of splitting a pair. When a player is dealt two identical cards, the player may split them into two separate hands. Thus, he is assured of an even larger portion of the jackpot. However, the player is not allowed to split or re-split when being dealt a pair of same cards if he wishes to play the game with that particular dealer.
